Use Case: Replication of selected data to customer’s data warehouse

Precision Bridge was selected to automated the extraction and periodic synchronisation of service management data from the customers ServiceNow application to their data warehouse.

Project Summary: Customer had an urgent requirement to replicate key ITSM data from their ServiceNow application to their data warehouse to support specific reporting requirements for various stakeholders. The initial requirement was to extract the data to a Microsoft SQL Server database and then to use this to populate the customer’s SAP application. However, after reviewing the requirement, the Precision Bridge tool was enhanced to deliver the data directly from ServiceNow to the SAP database without the need for any additional development. This saved the customer significant effort as it avoided the need for a secondary extraction and delivery interface.

Precision Bridge has been operating successfully since early 2022 providing regular data syncs to the customer’s SAP warehouse and supporting a diverse set of financial reporting requirements.

The product was recently enhanced for this customer to provide multi-threading capability and thereby accelerate the extraction by up to 5 times the original throughput rate.
