Global automobile manufacturer selects Precision Bridge to migrate 1 billion service management records
One of the largest global automobile manufacturers has selected Precision Bridge to automate the migration of close to 1 billion records from their existing on-premise ServiceNow system using an Oracle Database to a new cloud based instance of ServiceNow utilizing MariaDB.
The data that will be migrated includes Service Catalog and Service Requests across a multi-tenant environment with integration to other major automobile manufacturers.
Precision Bridge was selected for its ability to automate the data migration significantly increasing the reliability, speed and project cost savings. By leveraging Precision Bridge migration templates and the ability to configure data mappings without coding or scripting, all the data including related records, notes, audit records, journal entries, attachments, embedded links, images and formatting will be migrated ensuring data integrity and consistency.
This important system supports over 1.2 million users in 266 group companies and includes 950,000 service request items, 2.9 million tasks, 3.5 million approvals, 3000 active services and 400 custom-developed specialized workflows.
