Case Study: Large US Media Company selects Precision Bridge for ServiceNow Migration
Use Case: ServiceNow Migration to new Greenfield Instance
Following a successful Proof of Concept, Precision Bridge has been selected as the tool of choice for a large US media company to assist in the migration of their applications to a new greenfield ServiceNow instance. From the outset, it was decided that application data needed to be included in the migration particularly as they wanted to be able to continue working tickets on the new instance without interruption. The project will involve the migration of data from Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Knowledge and Request applications which currently support over 9000 users.
Precision Bridge was also previously selected to migrate a large number of tickets from Zendesk to their new ServiceNow platform which has already been successfully completed.
By using Precision Bridge, they are able to configure a set of migration projects that were designed to support the incremental migration of batches of records based on their requirements. One of the reasons for selecting Precision Bridge was the pre-loaded templates for each application which could be utilised with some fine tuning to accelerate the migration process. It also provided simple configuration options to include the migration of attachments, record relationships, activity logs, audit history and emails while maintaining data integrity.
The migration project will also allow them to review and rationalise their customisations so that only those that were still in use and not replaced by new OOTB functionality are retained.
