Customer Archiving Project

A global IT services and consulting company recently selected Precision Bridge to address their ServiceNow archiving and auditing requirements.  In particular, Precision Bridge is used to archive specific data-sets to an off-line database to satisfy regulatory requirements for auditing of transaction data.

Some of the critical requirements that Precision Bridge was able to demonstrate included automatic table generation, archiving of records from selected tables, filtering of records based on last modified date, customer, status or other criteria, optional deletion of source records, extraction and storage of record attachments, replication of table indexing and the ability to audit the full life-cycle of assets and their related transactions.

The customer was able to take full advantage of the Precision Bridge command line version to configure and automate regular archive runs without the need to keep the GUI open for the duration. They also made use of the Precision Bridge archive wizard to create a database script that could be customised to meet their specific Oracle DB requirements.
