migratingtoonpremise.jpeg

A global IT services and consulting company recently selected Precision Bridge to address their ServiceNow archiving and auditing requirements. In particular, Precision Bridge will be used to archive specific data-sets to an off-line database to satisfy regulatory requirements for auditing of transaction data.

Some of the critical requirements that Precision Bridge was able to demonstrate included automatic table generation, archiving of records from selected tables, filtering of records based on last modified date, customer, status or other criteria, optional deletion of source records, extraction and storage of record attachments, replication of table indexing and the ability to audit the full life-cycle of assets and their related transactions.

Mark Herring, co-founder of Precision Bridge commented: “At a time when auditing of customer’s data is becoming increasingly important to satisfy new regulation in Europe and the US, we are delighted that this global IT services company have selected Precision Bridge to address this requirement and we look forward to working with them over the coming months as the product is rolled-out”.

Oct 2020: New Jira-ServiceNow migration adaptor launched.

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Precision Bridge Jira®->ServiceNow® migration adaptor.

This adaptor can be used to automate and accelerate the migration of Jira Service Desk® data to the corresponding ServiceNow applications.

In particular, incident, problem, change, service request and CSM data as well as related sub-tasks, comments and work notes can be selectively migrated to the ITSM and CSM applications in ServiceNow without the need for any data exports/imports, scripting or development of any kind. Migration can be completed as a one-off or as a regular data-sync using Precision Bridge scheduling.

This rapid data delivery approach is based on the tried-and-tested Precision Bridge architecture used to migrate millions of records from legacy systems. All mappings used on migration projects can be saved and re-used across multiple source/target end-points thereby further accelerating the time to delivery.

Oct 2020: Leading US Service Provider selects Precision Bridge

Instance Migrator Graphic Campaign v4.png

A leading managed service provider (MSP) in the United States recently selected Precision Bridge to automate and accelerate their migration to a new ServiceNow instance.

The MSP have been using ServiceNow ITSM applications for a number of years during which time their applications have become heavily customised so they wanted to start from a clean slate on a new instance.  They also had a comprehensive domain separation configuration that was in need of revision so moving to a new instance was a golden opportunity to review and re-configure the domain configuration to accommodate their customer’s requirements.  In addition, the MSP also have a number of integrations including e-bonded interfaces to 3rd-party systems which need to be transferred to the new instance.

Due to the complexity and volume of data to be migrated and the time available, using a purely manual approach was not an option.  Precision Bridge provided the best alternative by providing pre-built migration templates and pre-configured mappings for handling complex relationships, attachments and journal entries whilst maintaining cross-platform data integrity.  In particular, Precision Bridge’s ability to preserve sys-Ids of records being migrated was cited as a key benefit which will enable integrations with 3rd-party systems including e-bonded interfaces to be maintained without extensive re-configuration.

Mark Herring, co-founder of Precision Bridge commented: “We are delighted that this leading MSP have selected the Precision Bridge product and I look forward to working with them over the coming weeks to make this project a success.”

Precision Bridge accelerates the migration to ServiceNow from older instances and from legacy platforms by eliminating the need for manually intensive data exports/imports, spreadsheet formatting, scripting or development of any kind.  For more information contact info@precisionbridge.net

Sept 30th 2020: Leading car manufacturer selects Precision Bridge

Remedy Migrator Architecture Campaign.png

A leading global car manufacturer recently selected Precision Bridge to automate and accelerate their migration from BMC Remedy to ServiceNow.

The company have been using BMC Remedy for many years and have developed a wide range of customised ITSM applications. Migrating the required data from these applications to ServiceNow was one of the key requirements and the company needed a reliable way to complete this migration without delaying the planned go-live.

Due to the volume of data and the time available, using a purely manual approach was not an option. Precision Bridge provided the best alternative by having pre-built cross-platform migration templates for foundation data, CMDB, knowledge, service request definitions and transaction data as well as pre-configured mappings for handling complex relationships, attachments and work-log migration to journal entries whilst maintaining data integrity.

Precision Bridge accelerates the migration to ServiceNow from legacy platforms by eliminating the need for manually intensive data exports/imports, spreadsheet formatting, scripting or development of any kind.

Remedy Migrator.png

If you have one or more Remedy applications that you want to migrate to ServiceNow then this webinar is for you!

When migrating to a new platform, one of the key considerations is what data to preserve and carry forward. Items such as knowledge articles, SLAs and processes for handling service requests are obvious candidates.

The problem is that data structures on each platform are completely different so there is no simple way to extract and deliver the data in the required format.

Precision Bridge provides a rapid, robust and secure mechanism for migrating your valuable data to your new ServiceNow instance without the need for any development, exports/imports, scripting or spreadsheets.

This webinar will show you how the Precision Bridge tool can be used to streamline the migration of selected Remedy application data to the ServiceNow equivalent applications whilst maintaining data integrity.
