Your March Update: Spring Forward with Precision Bridge

Spring is here - the days are getting longer, the energy is picking up, and things are moving fast at Precision Bridge. This month, we're welcoming Chris Jones into his new role, celebrating some exciting client wins, and exploring the latest from the world of AI. Read on to find out more.

Chris Jones Appointed as Service Delivery Manager

We are pleased to spotlight Chris Jones in his role as Service Delivery Manager at Precision Bridge. In this role, Chris leads the team responsible for ensuring customers and partners get the most out of the Precision Bridge Data Migration automation product — from initial configuration through to successful go-live.

Chris brings over two decades of ITSM experience to the role — from developing and consulting to supporting complex migrations across platforms including ServiceNow, BMC Helix, Jira, and beyond. Having worked across the Service Management ecosystem, Chris understands the technical and operational challenges that make data migration one of the most high-stakes phases of any Service Management transformation — and how Precision Bridge's automation technology not only significantly reduces the time and effort required but also the risk of missing or failing to accurately transform the data for customers and partners.

💬 "Our customers and partners trust Precision Bridge with some of their most critical data, and I take that seriously. The power of the automation technology means they can tackle even the most complex migration projects with confidence and precision — and my role is to make sure every team using our product has everything they need to succeed." — Chris Jones, Service Delivery Manager.

Tech Talk: AI Helps Design the World's First Personalised Cancer Vaccine for a Dog

What happens when a data scientist refuses to accept a terminal diagnosis for his dog? In this case, a world first.

When Sydney data scientist Paul Conyngham was told his rescue dog Rosie had months to live due to cancer, he refused to accept it. With no biology background but 17 years in machine learning, he turned to AI tools including ChatGPT and Google DeepMind's AlphaFold to identify mutated proteins and design something that had never existed before: a personalised cancer vaccine for a dog.

The results were remarkable. Within two months of handing his AI-assisted formula to researchers at UNSW's RNA Institute, the vaccine had pushed back approximately 75% of Rosie's cancer - with Rosie soon jumping fences to chase rabbits. While this is a single case without controlled trials, the researchers involved believe the approach could one day extend to human patients. It's a fascinating early glimpse at what AI-assisted medicine might look like in the not-so-distant future.
