Sep 16th 2020: Remedy Migration Made Easy, On-Demand Webinar

Remedy Migrator.png

If you have one or more Remedy applications that you want to migrate to ServiceNow then this webinar is for you!

When migrating to a new platform, one of the key considerations is what data to preserve and carry forward. Items such as knowledge articles, SLAs and processes for handling service requests are obvious candidates.

The problem is that data structures on each platform are completely different so there is no simple way to extract and deliver the data in the required format.

Precision Bridge provides a rapid, robust and secure mechanism for migrating your valuable data to your new ServiceNow instance without the need for any development, exports/imports, scripting or spreadsheets.

This webinar will show you how the Precision Bridge tool can be used to streamline the migration of selected Remedy application data to the ServiceNow equivalent applications whilst maintaining data integrity.

Iron Bow Technologies, a leading IT Solutions provider dedicated to successfully transforming technology investments into business capabilities for government, commercial and healthcare clients, recently completed the successful migration to a new ServiceNow instance using Precision Bridge.

Iron Bow had a heavily customized legacy instance which was becoming difficult to update so decided that moving to a fresh instance on New York was the best option.  The project included the migration of over 130,000 cases and 18,000 incidents as well as a large number of requests with related tasks.  It also included some data-conversion as some of the categorization was changed from the old records to the new.

Precision Bridge was chosen due to the tight project deadlines and the need for an accurate and reliable transition.  In particular the data integrity of relationships, journal entries, audit logs and attachments which needed to be included in the migration.

J.C. Grooms, ITSM Administrator for the project commented: “The project was started mid-April with the bulk of the migrations completed by the go-live at the end of May.  We estimate that using Precision Bridge saved us at least 2-3 months of effort compared to a traditional manual migration approach”

July 2020: Precision Bridge 5.1 Released

We are pleased to announce the release of Precision Bridge 5.1 which includes full support for bi-directional data-syncs between RSA Archer and ServiceNow. This means that customers that have risk, compliance, security operations, audit or vendor management data in either platform can now sync changes across to the other platform either as a one-off or periodic migration.

We have also made improvements to the Precision Bridge archiving functionality making it easy to generate SQL tables with corresponding indexes, display and reference field values which can be configured to receive data from your SN instance on a regular basis.

For customers that need to migrate data from ITSM to CSM there are new templates available to make this almost a plug-an-play exercise following some basic configuration.

June 2020: Highmetric completes strategic migration project using Precision Bridge

Highmetric, a global Elite ServiceNow partner, and Precision Bridge partner recently completed a successful migration project for one of their premier customers using Precision Bridge.  The project involved the migration of a range of application data records from a legacy ServiceNow instance to a new instance running on New York.

In particular the project involved the migration of over 3 million records from Incident, Problem, Request, Change, Release, Knowledge, Project, Program, Portfolio and a selection of custom applications.

A key success factor for the project was maintaining data integrity which included relationships to reference data, migration of record attachments and journal entries so that historical activity was presented correctly on the target application.  Another important factor was the option to divide the source data up into separate chunks using the Precision Bridge source filtering functionality.

Attempting to complete this project without Precision Bridge would have taken significantly longer, required more resources to implement and be prone to human error.  In reality, the project was completed in just over 4 months including testing and a clean-up of integrated contacts, groups, companies, departments and locations.

Mark Herring, co-founder of Precision Bridge commented: “I am delighted that Highmetric were able to complete this demanding project for one of their premier customers. It adds to the growing list of successful implementations and demonstrates the value that the Precision Bridge tool can bring to complex migration projects like this”.
