July 2020: Precision Bridge 5.1 Released

We are pleased to announce the release of Precision Bridge 5.1 which includes full support for bi-directional data-syncs between RSA Archer and ServiceNow. This means that customers that have risk, compliance, security operations, audit or vendor management data in either platform can now sync changes across to the other platform either as a one-off or periodic migration.

We have also made improvements to the Precision Bridge archiving functionality making it easy to generate SQL tables with corresponding indexes, display and reference field values which can be configured to receive data from your SN instance on a regular basis.

For customers that need to migrate data from ITSM to CSM there are new templates available to make this almost a plug-an-play exercise following some basic configuration.

June 2020: Highmetric completes strategic migration project using Precision Bridge

Highmetric, a global Elite ServiceNow partner, and Precision Bridge partner recently completed a successful migration project for one of their premier customers using Precision Bridge.  The project involved the migration of a range of application data records from a legacy ServiceNow instance to a new instance running on New York.

In particular the project involved the migration of over 3 million records from Incident, Problem, Request, Change, Release, Knowledge, Project, Program, Portfolio and a selection of custom applications.

A key success factor for the project was maintaining data integrity which included relationships to reference data, migration of record attachments and journal entries so that historical activity was presented correctly on the target application.  Another important factor was the option to divide the source data up into separate chunks using the Precision Bridge source filtering functionality.

Attempting to complete this project without Precision Bridge would have taken significantly longer, required more resources to implement and be prone to human error.  In reality, the project was completed in just over 4 months including testing and a clean-up of integrated contacts, groups, companies, departments and locations.

Mark Herring, co-founder of Precision Bridge commented: “I am delighted that Highmetric were able to complete this demanding project for one of their premier customers. It adds to the growing list of successful implementations and demonstrates the value that the Precision Bridge tool can bring to complex migration projects like this”.

May 2020: Global leader in aerospace industry re-selects Precision Bridge

A global leader in the aerospace industry re-selected Precision Bridge this month to address their requirements for a strategic migration project. The project involves the migration of CSM data records from a customised on-premise ServiceNow instance to a cloud based instance.

The project follows on from the successful implementation of Precision Bridge last year to migrate ITSM and ITBM data between the customer’s ServiceNow instances. In that case the project was completed in less than 2 months.

Key requirements for the new project are maintaining data integrity, support for migrating customised and extended tables, migration of journal entries, SLAs, audit records and attachments. Any alternative to Precision Bridge would have required extensive resources and significant additional effort over several months with increased risk and specialist knowledge.

Following the news of re-selection, Mark Herring, Co-founder of Precision Bridge commented: “We are delighted that Precision Bridge has been re-selected for this global customer. It represents a glowing endorsement of the benefits and versatility that Precision Bridge can provide for cross-instance migration projects like this.”.

Apr 20: Leading technology company selects Precision Bridge to accelerate their migration to a new instance

A leading technology company based in Virginia USA, recently selected Precision Bridge to automate and accelerate their migration to a new ServiceNow instance.  The company had a number of ITSM applications which were heavily customised and they wanted to start from a clean slate on a new instance.  Due to the volume of data and the time available, using a purely manual approach was simply not an option.  Precision Bridge provided the best alternative by providing pre-built migration templates and pre-configured mappings for handling complex relationships, attachments and journal entries whilst maintaining cross-platform data integrity.

Mark Herring, co-founder of Precision Bridge commented: “We are delighted that this leading technology company selected the Precision Bridge product and I look forward to working with them over the coming weeks to make this project a success.”
