As the days grow shorter and the chill of autumn settles in, the crisp air brings fresh energy, and with it, we turn our focus toward finishing the year strong. Just as the trees shed their leaves to prepare for new growth, we're gearing up for continued innovation and success in the months ahead.
Precision Bridge 8.1 is Here!
We are delighted to announce that we have now released Precision Bridge 8.1, which includes the following enhancements:
Attachment Archiving
Archive ServiceNow attachments to file systems or AWS buckets during instance migration where the reduction of storage is required. A record is automatically added to track archived attachments in a custom table.
Source Deletion for ServiceNow Migrations
The deleting of source data after migration is now supported for archiving including the archiving attachments.
Ivanti Knowledge Article Attachments
Attachments can now be directly populated into Ivanti knowledge articles.
Reverse Project Utility
Projects to reverse a previous migration project can now be automatically generated to restore archived data.
Zendesk to Jira Migration Templates
New templates are available to support the migration of foundation and ticket data from Zendesk to Jira Service Management.
BMC Remedy Attachment Migration
It is now possible to archive BMC Remedy attachments into a database where storage reduction is required.
Remedy to Remedy Mapping Generation
Quickly generate form mappings between Remedy servers using the wizard.
Configurable HTTP Client Timeouts
Set custom timeouts for HTTP requests to mitigate connection issues during large migrations.
New or Updated Templates
New templates are now available for CSV to Jira Foundation and CSV to Jira Incidents.
Advice for Users Upgrading from Precision Bridge 7.0 or Earlier
The "Use Server ID's Key Mapping" option was removed in Precision Bridge 7.1. If your project uses this option, it will default to "No Key Mappings" in 7.1 or later. To avoid duplicate records, select an alternative key mapping (e.g., Key Field Mappings) before running the project in 8.1.
All other projects built with Precision Bridge 7.0 and above will work in 8.1 without changes.
