This month, we’d like to highlight some exciting new projects we have lined up and share some more details about our recent 6.3 release.
Projects on the Horizon
We’re always coordinating with new customers here at Precision Bridge, and we have two new projects lined up that we’re particularly excited about.
The first relates to an American aviation information technology company that’s currently working with the RemedyForce IT service management (ITSM) solution. This particular client is heavily involved with the United States Department of Defense and intelligence community, and as such, they have substantial amounts of sensitive data to handle. They’re planning to deploy the Precision Bridge tool to give their customers a simple way to migrate from their legacy system to ServiceNow. Although the project is still in its early stages, we expect it to be the first of many!
Another client we’ve recently begun work for is an American Technology Company serving the U.S. government as a primary client. This company selected Precision Bridge to help them develop a migration plan for merging two of their ServiceNow instances into one. This will provide big benefits to management overhead, licensing costs, and efficiency across the board. With the initial planning stages complete, we hope to finish this implementation by the end of the year.
Feedback on Precision Bridge 6.3
In our last newsletter we discussed our 6.3 release and some of the great features it enables for our users. If you missed it, Precision Bridge 6.3 Release Notes are available here.
What has the response been since its release?
We’re thrilled to say it has been overwhelmingly positive! We’ve seen significant performance improvements from customers, with many praising the new multi-threading functionality in particular. Customers have noted a performance increase of up to five times faster when extracting data from ServiceNow.
But beyond these technical improvements, we’ve been interested to see an industry-wide shift in consumer perceptions around data replication and archiving. Across the board, customers are more interested than ever in these features and how tools like Precision Bridge can help them improve operations.
We attribute this to more customers embracing the concept of data warehouses as their primary repositories and the benefits therein, coupled with regulatory requirements such as the need to keep 7 years worth of data. But to manage a transition to a data warehouse, you need some way to get data out of your platform (be it ServiceNow or any other).
Currently, there are few simple ways to transfer data without spending excessive time on manual processes. No company has the time to transfer tables by hand, and such methods are rife with inaccuracies and potential security pitfalls.
This is what makes tools like Precision Bridge so effective. With our tool, users gain a secure, quick, and accurate way to transfer all tables in what’s essentially a plug-and-play format. There’s no development work or manual effort required. The tool is simple and allows users to set customized replication schedules that meet their needs, from once a week to near real-time.
And thanks to platform enhancements like multi-threading capabilities, even frequent updates won’t impact performance. It’s the easiest way to set up a data warehouse for proper business intelligence management and reporting as it eliminates any need to coordinate multiple systems to find what you need.
Newsletter Wrap-Up
That does it for this month’s newsletter but stay tuned to hear more exciting updates coming around the bend. In just a few weeks, Precision Bridge will attend the ServiceNow Partner Ecosystem Virtual Event that occurs on September 14. This event promises to showcase some great new advancements to ServiceNow that we can’t wait to see.
