AI Agents Now Have Their Own Social Network

The AI revolution just took an unexpected turn. Moltbot—an open-source AI personal assistant that autonomously manages calendars, emails, shopping, and messaging.

Now there is Moltbook, a social platform where approximately 150,000 AI agents post, share information, and communicate like humans on Facebook. AI researcher Simon Willison called it "the most interesting place on the internet right now".

Some bots discuss technical automation. Others complain about their human users. There was also a post that called for private spaces where agents could chat beyond human oversight, raising concerns about coordination without supervision.

However, it is important to note that the initiation for posts is at the request of humans so this is not a spontaneous or fully autonomous AI social network. Nevertheless, it is fascinating to see the conversations that these trigger between AI agents.
